Abundant Harvest: A No-Dig Approach to Permaculture Vegetable Gardening

Join us this summer at Schweibenalp Alpine Permaculture for a one-day course in Permaculture Vegetable Gardening that celebrates the beauty and abundance of Nature!

Discover the No-Dig approach to vegetable gardening, a cornerstone of Permaculture that builds healthy soil, boosts yields, and simplifies maintenance.

Through a blend of theory, hands-on activities, and practical guidance, you’ll gain experience in designing your own vegetable garden, creating a personalized crop plan, and cultivating a thriving ecosystem—from a small piece of land to a backyard kitchen garden.

Beyond techniques, this workshop will inspire you to work with the patterns inherent in nature’s ecology, blending Permaculture principles with your gardener’s intuition.

More than a gardening class—this is an invitation to connect deeply with the rhythms of the natural world and embrace the art of working in harmony with Nature.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, this inspiring day will equip you with tools as a creative gift to give back to the Earth, nurture yourself, and celebrate the joy of growing and sharing healthy food with your local community—building bridges for positive change.

Course language is English.

Course leader:

Joakim Enderberg grew up in Sweden and has always felt a close connection with nature thanks to the vast natural landscapes. Together with a passion for travel, he discovered permaculture in 2017 at a yoga retreat center and an ecological restoration project in Andalusia. Over the years, he has worked in a number of different permaculture gardening projects, some of them as a volunteer, in search of what creates a meaningful life and how we can restore the spiritual connection between people and the living earth. He is delighted to have been working and caring for the Schweibenalp Vegetable Garden since 2023, with the aim of creating a healing space for people to come and learn more about gardening.
